Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actress. In the last decade, Angela Evelyn has worked in television and film. She's received many awards, including sixteen NAACP Image Awards. Bassett was raised in New York New York and was raised by her aunt who lived in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Her mother split with her father at around five. She and her younger sister then went from the city of St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. While in high school Bassett watched John Steinbeck's drama Of Mice and Men starring James Earl Jones and decided she wanted to pursue a career as an actor. In 1980, Bassett was graduated from Yale University New Haven Connecticut with the degree of African American studies. She also received a degree from The Yale School of Drama. She dated Courtney B. Vance, a fellow actress at Yale and they were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. degree in African-American studies, 1980. Master of Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama School: Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (seventh grade) Azalea Middle School (eighth and ninth grade) Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett is currently working as one of the main characters as Ramonda in the action-adventure film i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
